Glo (Globacom) is a great network to be with, especially when it comes to mobile internet browsing. Glo offers this service on a wide range of platforms such as Wap, GPRS and then 3G(fastest).
To be able to browse with your mobile phone, you would need to get GPRS activated for your phone.
What you will need:
1. A glo sim card with credit
2. A mobile phone

There are two ways you can get GPRS service configured for your Glo sim;
- Manual configuration
- By Sms

Configuring your mobile phone by SMS:

Send the word "activate wap Phone" make to 927
e.g
for Nokia; activate wap nokia N90
for Samsung; activate wap Samsung 7210
for Motorola; activate wap Motorola 7210

After you send the text messages, give it some time after which you will receive GPRS settings from glo to your phone, save it and you are good to go as long as the [G] is showing.

Manual Configuration for Glo GPRS:
This has to do with configuring you mobile manually by going into the gprs settings for your phone and putting in these details where required:

Homepage: [wap.gloworld.com]
Bearer: GPRS
Access Point (APN): glogwap
security: Unsecure
IP Address: 10.100.98.22
Username: wap
Password: wap

With the above settings, you should be able to browse on the Globacom network. If you have got a 3G capable phone, even better as it will allow you to browse much faster with your Glo sim.
