It is quite fascinating when you start using apps that were built for your Nokia phone in locating a route in an area you know little or nothing about.
Maps are essential is finding your way out a strange place suppose you get lost or do not want to. Maps are good not just for finding out about new roads but also for having an aerial view of places you already know about.
Nokia Maps have come to do essentially the same thing - To give you a clearer view and ability to navigate with directions on the go.

This is what Nokia had to say about the serivce
With navigable maps, you can use the full range of navigation features, such as real-time tracking of your route and voice guidance. On non-navigable maps, you can get your position with GPS, but route planning and upgrading to voice-guided navigation are not possible.
Nokia maps is available in Nigeria and it already has quite a comprehensive view of places and popluar locations in Lagos and Abuja. While the maps are not conclusive, in that some streets are temporary missing, it is still being updated to include all locations in your area.
Nokia Maps as it is designed to works for only Nokia phones, but not all types. The current maps are only available for certain Nokia phones and you can check the phones
here.
Nokia maps has really improved the way maps are being accessed and used in Nigeria s this mobile application makes it easier to carry such a comprehensive map of major roads in the country without the usual bulky map files.
To be able to get a Nokia map today, you first need to get s smart Nokia phone, like the Nokia 6210 Navigator.

I don't think it will work on that phone. It is only on a specific list of phones. Nokia 6230 is not listed as a compatible phone for Ovi maps. The closese I have seen is the 6300i or the 6290

Yes, I think it will work. Nokia 6111 is listed as being part of Nokia phones that come with maps
