If there is anything that will make me quit the Etisaalt Network, then it will be their unending duplicate text messages containing the same message:
You do not have enough balance for this operation, please recharge and try again later
I have been receiving those messages and my inbox is already full. Imagine receiving 30 text messages at a go and containing exactly the same message. I mean, one message is enough, why duplicate it and why send it concurrently each time I try to browse with a low credit?
I just bought N200 credit to reload my ETISALAT Sim and even as I type this post, I am still receiving unwanted text messages from Etisalat. Is this not spamming? I think this is one of the problems facing a GSM subscriber in Nigeria is the inability to stop unsolicited messages just like in Yahoo mail. I have been trying to find out how I can block unwanted text messages from Etisalat (or any other network) especially like the one above.
With the N200 credit I bought for Etisalat, I was not able to go to a single web address like Google until I was told my money was finished. I have been using credit like that to even check my Yahoo mail, do some Googling and receiving news feeds, but today, like some other days, was wasteful. I doubt if I used any kb before Etisalat disconnected me. I guess I am going to chill before spending any more money on browsing with this network on Pay as you go.
