The Intercontinental Bank Visa credit card

I'm used to using credit cards issued by Nigerian banks for online payments and after 2 years of using the Intercontinental bank's Mastercard for making payments for my domains and web hosting, I applied for a new card due to the approaching expiring date of the former. This new non-personalized credit card I got from the bank was a Visa. I don't really know why they are now switching to Visa but it's a welcome decision. I thought to myself, it would be cool to find out how it works and if there are any benefits of using Visa over Master card.
The Intercontinental bank's Visa card comes with a 16 digit number and a 3 digit CVV code that can be seen at the back as well as a Nigerian registered address.
So in order to keep your card safe from unwanted users at home or work, you need to keep these three things to yourself alone:
- Your credit card number
- CVV code
- The address with which you registered the card

Normally, when you apply for a Visa prepaid card at the bank, you will be asked to fill in a form containing details like your name and address with some secret Q and A and these are the things that will be used to activate the card even after you get it from the bank

Activation:
Activation of the card doesn't come immediately and it takes up to 24 hours after collecting the card and calling the required phone line to activate the card. One you get the Visa card from the bank, it comes with a help guide and some phone numbers with which you would call card services to activate your card, check your balance and make future correspondences about using your card.
When you call for activation at the first time, you will be asked to recall the info you filled when making your application and so it's good to remember all you filled in as well as calling out come numbers from the card. Ordinarily, you will be asked to tell them the registered name, home address and how much you paid into the designated account for the card.
Your Visa card would be ready for use after a couple of hours when you must have called for activation.
Funding:
You will need to fund your visa credit card with at least $100 and so I funded mine with $150 for a start.
