To be a problogger, then you must know the rudiments of blogging and making a living from it. What would you do if blogging was the only thing you could do in this world? What would you do if blogging was the last thing and only means for you to survive? Yes it takes that kind of thinking to be a problogger.
To be a problogger is to be a professional at blogging. You blog for a living without doing any other thing rather than blogging.
Blogging is a growing profession. Yes, just like we have accountants, Lawyers, Doctors, Teachers, Police officers, Senators, Council chairman, Blogging is growing to be a profession and in time, perhaps it would be offered as a course in the University.
Blogging is what is helping feed the world wide web with information. It comes from the efforts of mostly serious people who dedicate themselves to practically living on the web, by blogging. To be a problogger, you need to understand that it is more than just a game, and you've got to be at your wits end and blog about what you know.
Blogging involves sharing information on your website from your own angle. There's a human side to blogging, despite it turning professional, you see the need to help others where you have fared well and decide to share your knowledge with the world. Bloggers are the new writers. In previous times, people wrote books to pass down knowledge, now such knowledge is going digital with blogging.
Now let's way we have a guy who is good in plumbing with over many years of experience and later retires, but sees the need to pass down his knowledge with other people, he can do so by writing a book or set up a blog. Blogging reaches much farther to the ends of the earth than traditional books.
Being a Problogger or professional blogger requires that you have quite a bit knowledge about something, you share it with others by publishing it online and thirdly you get paid for your efforts. While professional blogging cares about others and the need to share, it also rewards the blogger financially and in so many other ways.
To be a Problogger, here is what I suggest you do:
1. Decide a niche for yourself. Something you can write about everyday or weekly like Food, soccer, computers, mobiles or just web apps
2. Register a Domain related to your niche and host it
3. Your web host should have a blogging software which you can work with or get a good blogging software
4. Make your first post and many others which should follow from the first
5. Keep blogging and keep at it for like 6 months
6. Establish authority in your niche
7. Monetize you blog by adding ppc ads like Google adsense or Adbrite or promote Amazon products.

Now you can see the money tricking in and you are also satisfied with just blogging everyday on stuff you know about. You can choose to be a problogger at home or in an office or even while you travel. See it's not so hard to be a Problogger.
