You can browse the internet with your MTN sim for up to 24 hrs. Think of it, if you went to an internet cafe to browse or an hour, it would cost you about N100 (some collect N200/hr) but with MTN day browsing it would only cost you a flat rate of N500 for more than 20 hours!

Here are the basic conditions:
- You will need an MTN sim card
- Your device have GPRS or 3G capability
- You can only browse for 24 hrs or download 15 MB(whichever comes first)

So you see this internet browsing with MTN is really much more affordable than most other internet services.

How to start browsing with your GPRS/3G enabled phone
- Load N500 credit on your phone
- Send the word 103 to 131
- You will receive a welcome to internet browsing
- You can now start browsing with your device

Tips on how to conserve your browsing quota
Normally, the N500 per day browsing from MTN is meant to expire in 24 hours, it is also meant to expire after you must have exhausted 50MB on downloads, whichever comes first.

So to be able to continue browsing for up to 24 hrs without exhausting your quota here are a few tips:
- Disable the loading of pictures
- Don't watch videos online
- Don't download songs online

I think with the above explanations, you could very well be able to set up mobile internet browsing on your own. In order to have full internet browsing on your computer with an MTN line, then you just need to connect your device to a computer using bluetooth device or a USB cable and run the device's software.

Update: MTN Nigeria has drastically reduced this daily 24 hour plan to as low as N100 only.
I think this is the most affordable internet plan in Nigeria for now.
