- N500 credit

How to set it up:
Once you have credit on your phone, all you need to do is;

- Text 101 to 131
- After you receive the welcome to 24 hrs data plan, you may start browsing

- 50 MB quota or 24 hrs, whichever comes first.

Connecting the internet to your computer:
It is the same process as for your phone but you may need a USB device from MTN which currently costs N8500 or you may get another one in the market else you may just connect to your phone using a bluetooth device or USB cable

Here is how to ensure that you enjoy the full 24 hrs browsing without wasting your quota:

- Use bookmarks for your popular sites
- Browse mobile sites with desktop rather than traditional sites e.g m.facebook.com rather than www.facebook.com and m.yahoo.com rather than www.yahoo.com
- Limit your queries on Google and Yahoo
- Don't use torrents since this can consume your quota in as little as 10 minutes
- Avoid Yahoo messenger if possible and other chats
- Disable images on your browser and use them only when necessary.

How to check your internet service balance with MTN
If you have already subscribed on the MTN network, you can still check your balance to know how much quota and time you still have for browsing the web. This is good especially when you feel that the service is no longer going and you may have exhausted your subscription. All you need to do is to send 2 to 131 in an SMS.
