It is a good thing that customers of Zain can browse with their mobile phones. This is because mobile browsing is very much faster and convenient than traditional browsing. It is said that at the rate at which mobile browsing is growing, it may soon overtake desktop browsing.
However, there are many Zain users who are not really using this service. Not everyone understands that they can actually check their emails and even visit facebook or upload their videos to youtube with their Zain powered phone. To be able to do this, you need to first of all make sure that Zain moible internet settings are configured for your phone.
The settings works for most phones and can be configured either manually or automatically.

How to configure Zain internet settings for your phone

To configure this, you should do the following:
1. Call Customer Care on 113 or
2. Send an SMS with the word “internet phonebrand model' to 232 eg "internet Nokia N70" to receive your settings.
3. Accept, install or save the settings that will be sent to your phone by sms. If asked for a Pin, please use '0' or '0000'
4. To browse the internet, go to the internet/Web link on your phone. Enjoy the internet.
5. To push settings to your phone directly, go to dmc.ng.zain.com

For manual configuration of Zain GPRS/Internet service, go to your internet settings on phone and set up these details:

Homepage: http://wap.ng.zain.com
Wap Gateway IP: 172.018.254.005
Port: 8080 or 9201
Access point: internet.ng.Zain.com
Username: internet
Password: internet
Authentication: normal
