It is a popular tool and we use it to communicate frequently. GSM is the service that many Telecom operators in Nigeria offer that allows us be able to communicate with friends, families and peers using a mobile phone within an available domain. GSM services are not available everywhere but within the network coverage.
There are 5 major GSM companies in Nigeria which are:
1. MTN
2. Bharti Airtel (formerly Zain)
3. Globacom
4. Mtel
5. Etisalat

Recharging your GSM phone
You can recharge you GSM line by doing the following:
Prepaid
1. Buy the recharge card or voucher
2. Scratch the card if sealed in order to see the pin
3. Load the pin using the instructions given to you by the network - Normally starts with a * and ends with a # and then you dial
4. A response will be automatically displayed on the screen if it is successful
5. Throw away the used card in a disposal bin if successful else try again.
6. If unsuccessful, call customer service.
