Just about a week after the greatest show on earth (The FIFA World cup), another great show is about to begin in Africa and this is the Big brother Africa 5.
BBA is a reality TV show that is on for 24 hrs a day for several weeks which involves putting individuals (male and female) from qualified African countries, into a big brother Africa house for several weeks with the hope that anyone of them would end up winning a huge prize by being the last person remaining in the house. How does he/she become the last person? Well, the person has to escaped being evicted for several weeks and if the voters (viewers) like him, then he most likely will win the prize.

START DATE: Sunday July 18, 2010
END DATE: Sunday Oct 17, 2010
DURATION: 91 days

Prize: Well the prize will be the same as the previous Big brother Africa 4 and that is $200,000.

Location: The location for the BBA house as well as the filming will be in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Brief History
This is not the first time a Big brother Africa show has been held on TV ad that's why this one is called Big brother Africa 5 and is expected to be the best so far and with better competition expected from participants of participating countries since both officials and contestants must have learnt new ways of improving their tactics.

Channels
The Big brother Africa 5 show will be aired live on a DSTV dedicated channel for the duration of the show and that is on Channel 198. Right now there are already adverts on dstv on channels such as Mnet Africa on how the shows will begin and new rules too.

Here is a brief history of former Big brother Africa shows including the winners and winnings:

History of BBA Prizes and winners
2009: Big brother Africa 4 $200,000 by Kevin from Nigeria
2008: Big brother Africa 3 $100,000 by Ricco from Angola
2007: Big brother Africa 2 $100,000 by Richard Bezuidenhout from Tanzania
2006: Big brother Africa 1 $100,000 by Cherise Makubale from Zambia

Participating Countries:
The 14 participating countries are Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The Host of Big brother Africa 5: This will be our favourite I.K. Osakioduwa again who had a charming and funny way of presenting the last show.

I hope the contestants will play fair this time and no unnecessary hiding of food or breaking of furniture in the BBA house. I also like the fact that IK will be the host again for this event. What I really don't like is when some people in the house team up because really, they are all going to end up competing against themselves so they should just stop pretending.

No matter what housemates do ( good or bad), Africa will never get satisfied!

My two cent suggestion will be:

Break your leg,do whateva you wana do bearing in mind that you are the one to leave with the end results.

You may be beautiful, sexy, handsome, appealing etc. AFrica will always find something to pin you down!

For the so called "not good looking", i feel you coz u will b d first target/s for Africa to call you names!

what are the audience perceptions of the big show, 'Big Brother Africa'? Are some audience not csarved out of the show because they are not opportuned to a DSTV or other related media? Can this show be recommended for youths or, the young ones? these are some of the questions posed by the public.
