Konga's affiliate program is officially a legal and profitable way to make money from the internet in Nigeria and there are a growing number of such local affiliate programs now easily available in Nigeria unlike was the case in the past.

One no longer has to register with foreign websites such as Commission Junction or Clickbank just to make money online in Nigeria and one doesn't even need to capture a foreign online audience o run a profitable online business as Nigerian traffic is sufficient as it remains the biggest market in Africa.

There are a growing number of Nigerian content being put on the web by internet publishers and they do it mostly with the goal of attracting web traffic from Nigerian residents for the purpose of making profit from their venture and Konga's affiliate program is one of such platforms that let them make money.

As a blogger and content publisher in Nigeria, one of the ways through which I make money online is by partnering with Konga through their online affiliate program.

Konga's affiliate program, just like other online affiliate programs allows people to make money from the web by simply referring people to Konga's shopping portal. As an affiliate marketer for Konga, I get to make a commission based on how much sales I was able to bring to them through my referrals.

How it works is simple: Get people to buy things on Konga and earn a commission for doing so. With Konga's affiliate program, one can earn as about 3% to 9% commission rate based on the value of purchases my referred customers buy on Konga.

Let's assume that I attract a buyer to Konga and he/she purchases an item worth N100,000, I would earn at least N3000 from that purchase as a commission which is not bad.

Not many Nigerian bloggers or website owners believe that Konga's affiliate program is working for them and some believe its even a a scam but I've been paid by Konga at several times even though I'm not working as hard as some other affiliates I know.

It's the 20th of February and I've already received another payment for my January earnings but I've not yet included the photo for that in this post.

I'm including a snapshot of the last payment I received from Konga for the year 2014 and this was in December. It will serve as a bit of proof or evidence that Konga really does pay affiliates. Chances are that I could earn more income if I use more Konga banners and affiliate links on my website.
