It's the biggest shopping day around the world and the fever is already spreading among Nigerians. Black Friday fever was here and one of Nigeria's biggest shopping website was offering deals during that day which marked the beginning of pre-Christmas shopping.

Jumia Nigeria was offering Black Friday deals to customers and this happened on November 28th 2014 and there had been promos and adverts placed in the public to attract a lot of customers but it so happened that on the D-Day, the shopping website seemed unable to withstand the huge traffic from visitors.

Jumia's website experienced huge traffic and as a result of this, it went offline many times before coming back again. At times it went offline for a prolonged period of time before finally coming back. Jumia also confirmed this on it's twitter page and apologized for the bad service.

Personally, I also experienced this as I was unable to buy into any of the deals. At times orders were cancelled after they were placed and at times orders or Buy Now buttons did not even work. At other times, the site was just not available with an apology from Jumia.

As a result of the disappointing service which had been acknowledged by the Management, Jumia has decided to extend Black Friday sales a bit even after Black Friday and this means that buyers can still save money by shopping on Jumia even on Saturday, Sunday by 11.59 p.m

Keep shopping on Jumia
