Of course as long as you are using up some energy by doing some work, you can definitely lose weight. But it depends on a lot of things such as:
- How much weight you want to lose
- How often you take a walk and for how many minutes
- How long you will keep on doing it
- If you have not increased your food intake during that period

A lot of people tend to do some helpful exercises when they start a weight loss programme but they end up eating more food than they initially did before the programme. If you want to lose weight, you need to stick to the normal food you eat or change it for the better by focusing more on fibre rather than fatty foods and then lots of water. You may still lose weight even with your regular diet if you increase the intensity of your exercise. More exercise means more weight loss. So if you walk for say 15 - 30 minutes a day, than that would help you lose some weight
