Wow, now we have Google in three major Nigerian Languages viz - Hausa, Yoruba and then Igbo. I was amazed to discover this when i went to Google Nigeria which is mostly the default web address Google directs Nigerian visitors when they log on to www.google.com. Google Nigeria is located at www.google.com.ng. When you get there, you see options to search in three of the Nigerian languages. One funny click is that if you select to search in a particular language like Igbo, the search engine remembers your option with a cookie and seems to redirect you to that same google in Igbo when you go to google nigeria.
Google in Igbo has most keywords and links already translated to Igbo and i think there is still opportunity for volunteers to help in translating words to Igbo language for Google. As an Igbo guy, i like the front page. When you get to Google Nigeria, it tells you
"Google.com.ng offered in: Hausa Igbo Yorùbá".
When you click through Igbo, it says "Google Naijiria" you get 2 buttons to search with marked "Google Icho" meaning search Google and "Ihuoma zurum ahu" meaning I'm feeling lucky.
Although when you search for results, you find out that there are mainly based on English language, this is due to the fact that most web resources from Nigeria are written in English being our official language. It will be good if those who have got articles, books or other resources based on Igbo language publish them on the web and Google will easily find them and list them with priority on search results related to Igbo language.
I give thanks to those who volunteered in helping Google make the translation to Igbo.

Dedication.
To my parents who has led me into the understanding that it is folly not to know your mother tongue.
Special thanks.
To my dear Igbo language teachers who has thought it wise to teach the young minds their mother tongue, may the Lord of justice reward all your efforts.
To my dear spiritual director, a father and mentor: Reverend Father Nicodemus Ugwu O.P who has put the shadow of God’s light into my life.
