I just read it in the news today that Pete Edochie, the one we popularly know as Okonkwo from the famous movie - Things fall apart, has been kidnapped!
He was said to have been kidnapped along with his Jeep at Enugu when he went out for a movie shoot.
No details as to whether a ransom has been requested yet.
Men these kidnappers need to be prayed for. This is getting too much. Now is not really the nicest of times to be a politician or celebrity.

Increasing poverty is only increasing crime in nigeria. I know people in the south east value human life and they would only want a little sum before releasing him.

I think it is a rumour or celebrity stunt. It makes no sense kidnapping a people's person like him.

Enugu of all places. If people can't feel safe in their own domain or town. Where then will they feel safe?

Too bad for our country. But what do these kidnappers hope to get from him. It's like everybody is becoming a kidnapper . I think those guys who did it had information from his close relative.

How did that really happen. So a guy just wants to shoot his movie at a location and these bad guys wouldn't let him. This is an ugly trend and a blow to movie production in the south east.

He has been released already. It was reported that he was released based on personal recognition. I guess kidnappers equally feel for celebrities.
