WAEC candidates who partook in the last May/June exam for 2009 had been groaning for a long time for the release of their results. The good news now is that the results have finally been officially released. It was announced on the pages of newspapers and also in the news on 18th or 19th Sept 2009.

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has released the results of the May/June 2009 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Head, Nigerian National Office of the Council, Dr. Iyi Uwadiae, who announced the results in Lagos yesterday, said a total of 1,373,009 candidates, consisting of 755,955 males and 617,054 females sat for the examination.

However he said, of the total number of candidates that sat for the examination, only 356,981, representing 25.99 percent obtained credits and above in English Language, Mathematics and at least three other subjects.

Hi pals,i received the news of the release of the may/june 2009 waec result with joy but on checking the result,i was filled with anger.This was because all my waec result is HELD(i dont mean WITHHELD).And to worsen the matter,most of those that took the exam with me in the same school had the whole of their results released and my own became the exception.So,i want you people to advise me on what to do since i urgently need this result to process my admissions.I equally would like to know when this result would likely be released because a friend of mine told me that a HELD result is the same as a WITHHELD result.Please,i need your contributions to be cleared in this matter because i dont know why my results should be HELD by waec.My email address is Isotic4life@yahoo.com.Phone#07064657824.Your help is highly needed by me,especially in knowing when it could be released or left alone from being HELD by waec.DEO GRATIA
