DSTV Mobile Problems

I have been having problems with my DSTV mobile which I got a month ago. It is no longer showing.

When I click on the mobile tv icon and it loads, the other thing I see is:

"Retrieving subscriptions"
then
"Unable to retrieve subscriptions"
and Then
"This content needs to be purchased before viewing"

Please can anyone help me with tips on how to solve this. I initially thought that the problem was with MTN but as my brother's own was still showing, I felt that the problem has to do with my phone

    I have had the same problem with you but when I remembered the MTN staff telling me that it would not work if I did not set the time and date correctly. Maybe you switched off your phone or changed a Sim card and so here is what I suggest that you do to solve this problem:

    Solution
    1. Set the time and date right
    2. Do a rescan of the channels by going to options and select scan
    3. Click on options again and Subscriptions > Retrieve
    4. Your tv will now start showing, just make sure you have the antennae on if it is the Nokia 5330 phone

    Is it for all the channels or just one channel. The best thing I suggest that you do is to delete all the existing channels and then make sure that you have some credit on the phone and try once again to purchase subscriptions.
    At times it may be due to a delay in MTN's system of delivering your purchased content. At times it could also be because of a new package or again inability to access the GPRS network from your mobile phone.

    My own just keeps scanning for channels. After scanning, it displays NO CHANNELS FOUND. I thot it was a network problem but my friend's own works in d same area. Pls help

    On iPhone 4 I saw a post that the data management software (Onavo) causes the "no channels found"problem. Not sure if thaat is the case but worth a try.
