It does carry a us address and the charges you have to pay is a $20 set up fee plus, i guess a monthly $1 service fee. You could equally get a credit card from www.graphcard.com

You could sign up for a graphcard account at graphcard.com or have a grapcard reseller get a visa credit card for u.

Graphcard fees are worrisome. They want to collect a commmission for every transaction that you make. It's better for you to know the commission for your transactions with graphcard before confirming it

i think going through a reseller would inflate your costs. If you want to, you can sign up for a reseller yourself if you are using virtual visacard on a big scale and i'm not talking $20.

It is not satisfying to get a credit card from a bank and later you are not able to use it to pay for ordinary stuff like Toefl. It can be frustating

The fees assocciated with getting the Nigerian credit card is high and yet after that, you still have to suffer the humiliation of knowing which sites you will be able to use such cards. Some websites don't simply accept credit cards from Nigeria

I don't think you will be able to get any credit card from a Nigerian bank for $20. Their minimums are $150 and above.

It should work if it's a valid credit card. You should try to get a card from any of these banks like Zenith web surfer.

Maybe, you don't have sufficient funds in the account or you are not putting in the details right. Make sure that if it is a non embossed card/non personalized, that you have sufficient funds and also you put in the 3 digist at the back of the card as the cvv number. It should go. Go to a dollar based Atm machine, Zenith bank has them and there you can withdraw your money. You can get a credit card in Nigeria with a US based address from companies like trucards.com

it's not just Ecobank, but almost all the banks in Nigeria that are offering credit cards. You will have to provide some valid identification. If you are a student, you can still get one, present your school or national id card.

I ahve been using Intercontinental banks prepaid and non-personalized $100 credit cards for my online payments which includes downloading movies and shopping for books or software. They issue cards for various dollar denominations. The least I know is at %125 for a $100 credit card (Mastercard).

Well you can withdraw US dollars with your Mastercard form a dollarized ATM machine. Mostly, Zenith bank and a couple of other banks have this ATMS at some locations.

Banks in Nigeria don't offer cards with such low amount. The least you can find is a $100 card . Why not get someone with a credit card to pay for you or get you a gift card online which is for single use, or try fastecash.

Graphcard is good and offers flexibility of payment. I tried grpahcard once and they're not fraudulent, the only problem is funding delays and their numerous charges. It however allows you to create a virtual prepaid credit ard of your own. The virtual credit card is not only offered by Graphcard but by many other merhcants in the world. Just do a search on Google for virtual credit card and you can sign up with them. Virtual credit cards are good for securing your real credit card online and are mostly meant for single use only. Try Graphcard but it is a long process. It will do you well if you got a prepaid credit card from Diamond bank or even GTBank.

I use Zeith bank web surfer card. You can make your fisrt application online and then take the details with your reference number to your desired Zenith bank branch. ou will also need to go with some documentaion like Id, Nepa bill and payment. They would later set up the web surfer accoutn for you and it is not a physical card but vritual. They would send the details to your email address.

The application i made for the web surfer credit card online was not encouraging. After the application, i went to their branch in surulere, Ogunlana Drive but they said they don't have it yet that i could go to another branch like Bode Thomas so i just gave up interest there.

I hope the different opinions and options have not confused you?
Let me summarize my findings for you;
Nigerian credit card are not accepted by online merchants whether they are genuine or not, even if they are Visa or Master cards.
To get genuine or rather foreign credit card to use you have to pay for it with credit card.
Nigerian ompanies or individuals who claim to offer online shopping services or visa card procurement always have high transaction charge and expensive conversion rate.
So where does this leave you?
My opinion is, find a way to do it yourself and bypass all these bottle necks and middlemen.
This would mean you getting a U.S. Bank Account which entitles you to a Cheque book and Credit card that works anywhere. That's the solution.
The good news is that you don't need a huge opening balance and you can apply for it by yourself online. It is a Bank in the US that offers this service. You will be able to check it out yourself before you open the account.

There is nowhere I know that you can get a $10 credit card. Why not look for someone or an agent to help you make the online payment? The least credit card provider I've seen starts from $25
