GPRS is quite faster but even more faster is 3G which they had lauched. Who will still be using wap when there's 3g?

Wap and gprs sre tow different things. Wap is the format on which content is delivered on your mobile phone. GPRS IS JUST THE TECHNOLOGY on which this can operate. Wap can also operate on other platforms like 3g, edge, OTA and so on. For a mobile phone, there are two main formats, wap (wml) or xhtml. Other more advanced phones or gadgets can then browse even full html sites. But browsing on wap format can save you a lot of money as it is cheaper, loads faster and can fit into most phones
