It's in the news once again that the movement for the emacipation of the Niger Delta (MEND)- a militant group in Niger Delta, southern part of Nigeria, has threatened to break the ceasefire they once called after a violently successfull attack that paralyzed a major oil field in Bonga that increased the Federal govt's daily oil earnings by billions of dollars. I wonder the reason for ths ceasefire in the first place cos they've always been known to be a violent group that claims to be fighting for the people of the South-South. Perhaps it's time for the Fedral government to take a decisive step in ensuring peace and stability in our country.

it wouod be wise if the govt and militants resolve their difference with peace because full scale war would not benefit anybody, we already know that the biafran war only took us backwards and not forward.
