Nokia 1680 GPRS and MMS Internet Settings
You'll need to complete all steps for this to work.
The phone has a four-way directional Navigation key and two soft keys on either side of this. The Navigation key can also be pressed in to select options.
1.Press Menu (Navigation key)
2.Highlight Settings and Select (press Navigation key)
3.Highlight Configuration and Select (press Navigation key)
4.Highlight Personal configuration settings and Select (press Navigation key)
5.Press Add new (Navigation key)
6.Highlight Web and Select (press Navigation key)
7.Highlight Account Name and Select (press Navigation key), enter MTN GPRS then OK (press Navigation Key)
8.Highlight Homepage and Select (press Navigation key), enter http://wap.google.com then OK (press Navigation Key).
9.Highlight User name and Select (press Navigation key), enter web then OK (press Navigation key)
10.Highlight Password and Select (press Navigation key), enter web then OK (press Navigation key), verify password and again select OK (press Navigation key)
11.Highlight Use preferred access point and Select (press Navigation key), highlight No and Select (press Navigation key)
12.Highlight Access point settings and Select (press Navigation key)
13.Highlight Proxy and Select (press Navigation key), highlight Enable and Select (press Navigation key)
14.Highlight Proxy address and Select (press Navigation key), enter 10.199.212.002 and OK (press Navigation key)
15.Highlight Proxy port and Select (press Navigation key), enter 8080 and OK (press Navigation key)
16.Highlight Bearer settings and Select (press Navigation key)
17.Highlight Packet data access point and Select (press Navigation key), enter web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net and OK (press Navigation key)
18.Skip past Network type this should be set to IPv4
19.Skip past Authentication type, this should be set as Normal
20.Highlight User name and Select (press Navigation key), enter web and OK (press Navigation key)
21.Highlight Password and Select (press Navigation key), enter web then OK (press Navigation key), verify password and again select OK (press Navigation key)
22.Press Back three times (right soft key)
23.Highlight MTN GPRS and press Options (left soft key)
24.Highlight Activate and Select (press Navigation Key)
25.Press Back (right soft key) four times
Please switch your handset off and back on again before using these settings.
The GPRS settings are now complete.
Nokia 1680 MMS Settings
You'll need to complete all steps for this to work.

24.Check that Delivery reports is preset to No
25.Check that MMS creation mode is preset to Guided
26.Check that Image size is set to 640x480
27.Check that Default slide timing is preset to 00:08
28.Check that Allow multimedia reception is preset to In home network
29.Check that Incoming multimedia messages is preset to Retrieve
30.Check that Allow adverts is preset to No
31.Highlight Configuration and Select (press Navigation key)
32.Highlight Configuration and Select (press Navigation key), highlight Personal config. and Select (press Navigation key)
33.Highlight Account and Select (press Navigation key)
34.Highlight MTN MMS and Select (press Navigation key)
35Press the right soft key five times to get back to the standby screen.
Please switch your handset off and back on again before using these settings.
The mms settings are now complete.
