If you are interested in browsing the internet with your computer or mobile phone and you are on the Glo mobile network in Nigeria, you can do this by;

1. Get a Glo sim card, if you don't already have one
2. Set up GPRS or 3G on your phone
3. Connect your phone to the computer/Laptop and start browsing

Setting up GPRS or 3G Service on your phone

Go to the settings for your phone and put the following. Different phones come with different buttons.

For Nokia:
Menu >Services > Settings > Connection settings > Active service settings > Activate

3g settings are as follows:
Name Value
Service name Glo 3G
APN glo3gvideo
User name Wap
Password Wap
Authentication Normal
IP address 10.100.98.22
Port address 3130
Homepage http://cms.gloworld.com

Those are the manual configuration settings as you will have to configure it by hand.
You can also configure these settings on your computer suppose you want to use the computer to browse, just start up you phone's software like the Nokia PC suite for Nokia

Connecting your phone to the computer/Laptop
- Connect your phone to the computer using bluetooth or usb wire and start up your phone's software
- Go to the settings on the software and put in the settings above for it to work
- Then click on connect to internet from the software and you will be connected.
- You an now start up firefox or Internet explorer for browsing.

Note: This will connect to the internet as long as you have credit on your phone and it will be on a pay per kb basis.

If you now want to be able to browse using Glo mobile internet service just for your computer alone, you an purchase a package(3.5G HSI Flexible Pack)that is sold at their offices. This will offer you faster internet access and it comes with a subscription plan of N500 - N15000 per month.

which kind of external modem. if you havea glo sim card and then a hspda device where you can insert your glo sim card, then all you need to do is set up the modem on your computer and install the software using it to connect to the internet.
You will use the glo internet settings configured on your computer using control panel functions and then start browsing when you are connected

I have one glo 3G broadban data card I have charged N6000. yesterday and opted for G100 plan. I got a message from net work oerator yor validity is expaie on 20/10/2010. 21.45hrs. now I am trying to brouse but it is not connecting, the modom is connecting but I am not able to brouse any web page. please solve this problem

I've been trying to connect my phone using Nokia PC suite to browse on my system but to no avail.
Could you please tell me the Access point,username and password I can use to configure it manually so I can surf the web on my laptop
