I don't know why i have to wait too long for my dstv to scan each time i switch it on. In Nigeria, there's no constant power supply rom PHCN. So every time it takes time to reboot like a computer. The initial decoder i had was not like this until when i changed it to dual view. How can i make it load faster?

You can use a ups connected to your decoder so that it doesn't switch off when there is inconsistent power. But in cases of where you are not switching from Nepa to your generator, you can then connect your decoder to an inverter so that even when there is no power supply, you may still be able to watch your dstv.

If you don't want your decoder to take too long in scanning every time you put it on, then do the following:1. Make sure that it connected to a UPS.
2. Switch it off with the dstv remote first before switching it off from power supply.
3. When next you want to watch DSTV, turn the electrical power or UPS switch on, then switch on the remote and it will not have to scan again
* So as long as it is always switched off and on with the dstv decoder remote, it will not always have to rescan but will immediately start showing. You don't have to be allowing your decoder to rescan every time you want to watch it unless you are doing an upgrade or adding new channels
