Nigerian banks on Forbes List - The Big Three

I was thrilled to hear that our very own Nigerian banks made it on the prestigious Forbes List. They consist of what i would call the big three namely:
First Bank
Intercontinental bank and
United Bank of Nigeria (UBA)

First Bank is ranked at 1375; UBA at 1560, while Intercontinental Bank features at 1798 on the 2009 list.

The list is about the most profitable and top 2000 companies in the world. The ranking is based on sales, profit, assets and market value. In order to qualify, the companies must also have publicly traded on the stock exchange.
