I just withdrew ythe sum of N9000 today from my intercontinental bank account and got the usual sms info about the withdrawal on my Nokia 6300, but ther was an added information there. Here are the full details of the text message:
"Acct:********* was debited for N9000 on 020709. tEXT ICBLOCK*** to block your account if debt is suspicious."
This is really a good innovation. Now account holders with the bank would have the ability to block any further withdrawal of duns from their account by fraudsters which are milking millions from the accounts of individuals without their consent through online transactions and ATMs. There has been growing pains by ATM account holders of illegal withdraeals from their accounts and these complaints usually take a lot of time to be addressed before the person's account has suffered several illegal debits. The only thing is if the icblock request will be activated as soon as the person makes the request by sms.
