I had been wondering how to be able to use my GTbank mastercard online by paying for some subscriptions and then domain name but every time I use it, it gets an error and card is declined. So I decided to log into internet banking at GTbank and found out that to use my card, I would ned to activate it.
Now activation would require that I get a GTBank hardware token which I have heard from some sources would cost some money maybe 2500 naira. With the GTbank hardware token, I would be able to complete my online activation on internet banking. Since this is another whole process and not as advertised, I thought I should think about it first before going to request for the token.
The bottomline is that, you can't immediately start using your GTbank Naira mastercard online for payments unless you have activated it and to do so, you would need a hardware token which would probably cost a fee.

It's true. You can't use the mastercard online after collecting it from the bank. You can only use it on atms but for online transactions, you need to get a token from the bank and activate it online using your internet banking

Go to any bank and you should be able to get one. You also need to go with your money. About $100

using ur master card to do a lot things on the net.activate n tranfer frm gtb to other banks without going to the banking hall to queue.
