I'm amazed at how the ruling party (All Progressive Congress) could lose an election in a state that was once in their fold despite their federal might.

It was simply what the majority wanted. They didnt feel the APC have been doing well and disapproved of the way the APC chairman and some elders were harassing their governor and so only expressed their choice on election day.

i think it's because of the bad economy. With fuel price and electricity increase, APC keeps getting less and less popular. Buhari needs to do something if they really want APC to win without rigging in the 2023 presidential election.

Edo state election is a turning point and APC is more likely to lose Ondo state if they do not use their military force to rig it.
