I already have a PVR decoder and it works ok. Would it make any sense purhasing a DSTV explorer?

I guess one of the benefits is that you can record up to 1000 videos

I may be forced to just buy this new decoder since it so happens that my current PVR one is no longer recording. Anytime I try to record or rewind, it says "This function cannot be performed without a functioning hard drive". I heard the price is now N65000 for the explorer.
