I'm thinking of visiting Africa during winter as I'm expecting it to be a bit warmer then than here in the USA. I recently got a Kindle Fire HD which I also intend to use but I'm wondering If I'll still be able to use it without any interruptions when I'm in Africa. Does Amazon support Kindle users in Africa?

I've visited a non Amazon supported country before with my Kindle Fire and it still works. You'll still be able to read the books you've already downloaded, play the games you've already purchased as well as access any other things you own from your cloud.

The only trouble is when trying to purchase new digital content like games, instant video and books. You'd be blocked from getting this new content as a result of your ip address. But there is a way round it. Just changer your ip address using a VPN service provider

There are lots of public wifi services in Africa especially in growing cities like Lagos, Nairobi, Accra or Johannesburg. Besides, your 4g sim could also work if it's on roaming. There are also private wifi/mifi services you can get in countries in Africa from local isps. You can still browse the web and access your cloud in Africa.
